A Pride Month-themed LGBTQ+ Material Pack is now available for loan at Lahti Main Library.
The LGBTQ+ Material Pack can be borrowed and returned at Lahti Main Library. It can be checked out from the adult services desk by asking staff. The loan period is two weeks.
The material pack contains information, materials and practical tools for anyone who wants to better understand the diversity of gender and sexuality. It is source for professionals in education, training and youth work, as well as for students, parents, grandparents and godparents – for everyone who wants to understand better, encounter others more respectfully, and help make everyday life safer for all.
The material pack was created in response to young people’s own wish to support and educate the adults who work with them. It was developed by Vera Koskenheimo, Lahti Seta, and the young people and instructors of the City of Lahti’s LGBTQ+ Working Group in collaboration with Theatrum Olga. The physical package was created by artists Remi Eskelinen and Paula Ramis Sempere under the direction of Lasse Kantola.
