Mobile Library Service Concept – Temporary Library Van Delivers Materials to Daycares, Schools, and Other Customers Starting September 11
Starting Thursday, September 11, 2025, Lahti City Library will temporarily replace its mobile library bus with a van to serve school and daycare routes as well as evening routes. Evening routes will follow the published schedule. Book bags will be delivered to schools and daycares as needed, but not according to the route schedule. On evening routes, reserved materials will be delivered to customers. Additionally, a small selection of loanable materials will be available, including new adult titles and materials for children and youth.
Reservations for mobile library materials can be made via the Lastu online library. Library staff can assist with making reservations if needed. Reading recommendations for reservable materials can also be requested through the Lastu-vinkkaajat service.
Lahti’s mobile library bus Saaga is currently out of service due to a technical fault. We apologize for the inconvenience.
