The collaboration between the City Library and Malva, which began last autumn, continues. This fall, inspired by the atmosphere of Malva’s Transformations exhibition, at Lahti Main Library you can write and find inspiration in the themes of transformation.

Lahti Main Library Book Exhibition: Transformations
September 1–21, 2025 | Lahti Main Library, 1st floor
The display features both fiction and non-fiction books that explore themes from Malva’s Transformations exhibition, such as corporeality and the human relationship with nature. Also included are works on contemporary art. All materials are available for loan.
Transfomations - Writing Workshop
Tuesday, September 30 at 17:30 | Lahti Main Library, Multipurpose Room, 2nd floor
The workshop draws inspiration from the themes of Malva’s Transformations exhibition and includes related writing exercises. The exhibition explores human existence, corporeality, change, and our relationship with nature.
Open to writers of all levels—no special expertise required. The workshop is led by librarian Johanna Nurminen.
