Information Technology and Equipment

Computers, tablets and other equipment are available in the Lastu libraries.

3D Printing

On the second floor of the Lahti Main Library, in the Music Department, you can try 3D printing with the help of the staff. The 3D printer allows you to use print ready models to create physical objects. The model that is printed has to be available in STL file format.

The material used for printing is PLA or ABS plastic. PLA is made of biodegradable cornstarch; ABS is a harder plastic.

Come and try printing and print yourself for example a keychain, earrings or a cookie cutter. First time users get help from the staff, and help is provided when necessary for others as well.

A 3D print costs one euro regardless of the size of the object.

Book a 3D printing session at the Music Department service desk or by calling 044-4163517.
