Events Organized Again Soon in the Lastu Libraries

On 1 February the Regional State Administrative Agency decided to ease the coronavirus restrictions in the Päijät-Häme region. This means that libraries may again organize public events for up to 50 people.

Public events will begin in the Lastu libraries at different times

Having been cancelled in the first weeks of the year, public events will be arranged again in the Lahti libraries beginning on 10 February. In Heinola, events may be organized from 8 February, in Orimattila from 28 February and in Padasjoki and Sysmä from 14 February. The libraries will provide information about their events on their social media channels and on their websites.

Libraries still have the obligation to reduce close contacts between people. Libraries continue to operate by maintaining safety regulations until 19 February.

When visiting a library:

  • Keep a safe distance from other customers and the staff. Avoid close contacts.
  • Wear a mask unless you have a health-related reason not to do so.
  • Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands in the library’s toilet after entering the library.

Some of the furniture in the libraries has been removed to make it possible to keep safe distances.

No more than three people at a time may enter the mobile library. Members of one family may enter the mobile libraries together.

Also customers visiting the self-service libraries must follow the above guidelines.

Digital guidance and cooperation with schools will continue normally in the Lahti libraries.

Wear a mask when visiting us.
