Corona Restrictions Become Tighter again in the Lahti Libraries from 20 December

The coronavirus situation in the Päijät-Häme region has become increasingly difficult. Therefore, the Regional State Administrative Agency has decided that tighter restrictions will apply to libraries beginning on Monday 20 December. A Covid pass is not required in the libraries but the following guidelines must be followed:

  • Keep a safe distance from other customers and the staff. Avoid close contacts.
  • Wear a mask when visiting the library unless you have a health-related reason not to do so.
  • Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands in the library’s toilet when entering the library.

Some of the furniture in the libraries has been removed again to make it possible to keep safe distances between people.

The mobile libraries may be used by only three people at a time. Members of one family may enter the mobile libraries together.

The self-service libraries (Ahtiala, Jalkaranta, Kärpänen, Liipola, Mukkula and in the mornings Nastola) remain open for the time being. Also customers in the self-service library must follow the above guidelines.

After 27 December a maximum of 10 people will be allowed to participate in library events. In the Main Library Auditorium, events for more than 10 people may still be arranged. A Covid pass will be required in these events. It is the duty of those who have reserved the Auditorium for the event to make sure the participants show their Covid pass and follow the required guidelines.

Wear a mask when visiting us.
