The coronavirus situation in the Päijät-Häme region has deteriorated again. After 4 October the Päijät-Häme Wellbeing Services County has been one of the coronavirus spreading areas in Finland. The Regional State Administrative Agency has banned indoor public meetings and general meetings in the Päijät-Häme region that are attended by more than 20 people. This order does not apply to events where a Covid pass is required.
For the time being, the Covid pass will not be introduced at events organized by the Lahti City Library. However, there is a limit of 20 people at all the remaining public events in the Library this autumn. Those who organize events in the Main Library Auditorium will be responsible for complying with these rules.
In addition, the use of face masks in the libraries is still strongly recommended for all above the age of 12 years. Hand sanitizer is also still available in the libraries.
Most of the recommendations and restrictions are valid until 12 December but if necessary, they can be changed before that as the epidemic situation develops. More detailed regional recommendations can be found at Päijät-Sote website (in Finnish only).
